Connemara 12 Year Old

€76,30
Tax included.
Connemara 12 years is a traditional Irish whisky with a seg balanced aroma and flavour pallet, and is highly regarded in the whisky world. Its experience starts with a quite sweet and fresh overall. Hints of citrus is easy to spot mixed with warm honey and toffee. Even it tends a little towards the fruity side through modest notes of apple and pear mixed in vanilla custard. Immediately apparent in its flavour is the return of honey for a sweetish start, followed by a soft creamy tone of butter and cashew nuts, toffee and just a hint of vanilla. The most odd and difficult to spot scent was really the buttered popcorn, strange, but still feels right in place. These are then followed up by earthy peat flavours which gives you a bit of the feel of unpolished Scottish nature, culminating in a smoky whole. Characteristically like driftwood that has been burning for a while. It finishes with a light finish of vanilla and spicy fruit with traces of oily smoke and spices. This whisky has an alcohol content of 40%.
